Income is an Egyptian Company working in electricity, petroleum and renewables alongside other industrial services. The agreement between the two companies will strengthen their position in the continuously growing Egyptian renewable energy sector.
Both companies possess considerable expertise in sectors such as wind energy and Barlovento in particular has been working on renewable energy projects in over 50 countries around the world. Income meanwhile has a 40-year track record in electricity, transport and the environment.
Both countries have previous experience working with renewable energy in Egypt and have participated in several wind and solar projects.
The partnership will permit Barlovento and Income to offer a complete portfolio of services for the wind energy sector to their clients, during phases of the project: development, construction and exploitation. At present, Egypt has around 550MW of installed wind power with some projects in the development phase. The Egyptian’s plant to install 7200MW in the near future in order to reach a target of 12 percent of national electricity generated by wind by 2020.
