United States Election Special Renewable Energy, Candidates in focus

 

As the 2008 election draws ever nearer to Super Tuesday and November there is an increase focus on the candidates stance on many issues including renewable energy.

 Candidates both republican as well as democratic and this year once again maybe even an independent will face off on a host of issues. One that is receiving special attention this year is energy independence and climate change. Encapsulated in these issues are big implications for the renewable energy field, as the United States of America is home to a big chunk of the worlds leading renewable energy companies.

The candidates policies vary widely, everything from following Germany's energy policies to drilling the Arctic wildlife refuge in Alaska to claiming that climate change is not taking place.

This week we will examine the policies of the Democratic candidates including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and John Edwards Followed in the coming week with analysis of Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney.
