The company in charge of the campaign will be Planktos-Klimafa, based in California.
The trees will be planted over a 7000-hectare area in Hungary.,
The initiative intends “to do its bit to fight pollution on earth and to contribute to improving the planet that God gave to humans so that they could be the servants of nature and not its masters" said Mr Jose Sanchez de Toca y Alameda, Pontifical Council of Culture under-secretary, at Vatican Radio.
