On top of ASIF's growth, the industry has reasons to congratulate itself as the Comisión Nacional de la Energía (National Energy Commission, CNE), has recently stated that during the first half of 2007 the installed power grew at an impressive rate of 18 MW per month.
Hence, the total capacity installed and registered at the industry department by the end of June was already above 300 MW, out of which 261 MW were already connected to the grid.
As a consequence of this growth, ASIF has informed that the organization will 'reinforce its capacity and its scope, passing an increase in its budget and human and technical resources available'.
ASIF defines itself as the reference association for solar PV in Spain, representing almost all the industry and including developers, consultants, engineers, module manufacturers, distributors, installers, research and educational centers, insurers, etc.
