PVOne to build biggest PV facility in Florida

PVOne LLC, a New Jersey based solar developer, will create a solar PV project called 'brownfields to brightfields" that will become Florida's largest. The array will be constructed at Rothenbach Park in Sarasota County, on a former landfill, and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of this year.

;Brownfields in America represent a great opportunity for this type of facility, normally requiring large areas close to electricity grids. This facility, with 250 kW, will indeed become one of the largest in the Southern States, covering an area of 2,600 square meters (28,000 square feet).

When operational, the solar energy system will be enough to power 50 homes and will prevent the emission of 10,500 tonnes of CO2 each year. The system will be deployed by PVOne in cooperation wtih PowerLight Corporation, which will provide operational support and maintenance services.
