Trina Solar celebrates its 10th anniversary in the PV Sector

Trina Solar, a vertically integrated PV manufacturer from the production of ingots, wafers, and cells to the assembly of PV panels, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in the photovoltaic business this year.

The company hosted a one-day celebration at its headquarters in Changzhou, on Earth Day, the 22nd of April. The event was attended by the company management team, numerous government officials, as well as suppliers and customers from around the globe, including countries such as Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Australia, USA, France and Korea.

The celebration began with morning workshop sessions where suppliers, investors and customers were able to remember the past as well as discuss the possibilities for the future of the PV industry. After lunch, the hundreds of attendees gathered to celebrate the inauguration of the new Trina Solar PV Park with Trina Solar’s CEO, Mr. Jifan Gao, Management Team and local government officials. The Trina Solar PV Park is an important project which aims to gather together different PV material suppliers around the Trina Solar manufacturing facilities. This co-location brings mutual benefits of guaranteed supply and demand for materials including but not limited to PV module glass, along with crucibles, slurry and junction boxes. The celebration ended with dinner, a cultural music festival, awards ceremony and a cocktail reception.

Mr. Thomas Sauer, CEO of IBC Solar, among other Trina Solar partners, offered a wonderful gift to Trina Solar and especially to Mr. Jifan Gao and gave a warm speech both in English and Chinese.
