New PV glass
During GENERA 09 T-Solar also presented a new PV glass designed specifically for integration into building architecture. This new product consists of laminated glass amorphous silicon modules, which can be used in place of conventional architectural features such as curtain walls, façade coverings or flat roofing.
The new glass offers added value because aside from offering the normal benefits of traditional materials (i.e. solar protection, heat insulation, sound proofing and security), the new material also generates electricity. Furthermore, T-Solar emphasises that its new product is highly versatile because parts can be tailor made to meet each customer's specific requirements.
