Valoriza Energía and Solel join forces to install 500 MW of CSP in Spain

In total, three solar facilities will be built near Seville in the short term. The agreement also includes the construciton of a manufacturing plant in Jaén (Spain).

 Both companies have reached an agreement install CSP capacity in Spain in the coming years, with a total investment of 850 m euros for the first three plants. The manufacturing plant planned will carry an investment of 90 m euros and will create more than 350 jobs. It will produce material for the assembly of solar collectors. It will be the first manufacturing plant in the world able to manufacture all the necessary components for CSP plants, with an annual capacity of 50 MW.

The solar production facilities to be built near Seville would be able to power a city of 250,000 people and they will prevent the emission into the atmosphere of 145,000 tonnes of greenhouse gases. They will also save plenty of water on the chosen site, now occupied by crops.

The facilities will be built in 4 years. The solar equipment utilized will be UVAC, which uses reflection free technology, which reaches a thermal output 30% higher and temperatures of up to 400 ºC”.

In the long term, both companies plan to build up to 500 MW of solar concentration power together in Spain.
