Yingli and Eiko seal solar deal

 

Yingli, one of the fastest-growing Chinese solar PV manufacturers, will supply Japan's Eiko Trading 17.35 MW of panels during 2008.

The panels are expected to be used in Eiko's projects in Germany. Deliveries will start as soon as possible and are scheduled to be completed by November. Yingli thus is starting to find buyers for its new production capacity, which is expected to reach an astonishing 400 MW before the end of the year.

"Germany has been the major driver in turning the PV industry into the global business that it is today," said Mr Liansheng Miao, Chairman and CEO of Yingli. "We believe this partnership with Eiko will further strengthen our presence in the world's largest market and act as a springboard to allow us to move forward into the exciting future of the PV industry.", he added.

"Our strategy is to provide reliable and flexible turnkey PV system solutions to our customers and Yingli shares our vision. We expect our cooperation with Yingli to develop into a more strategic, long-term relationship as we both continue to grow rapidly." said Mr Rui Chen, Eiko's President.
