Recently GE Energy opened up yet another facility to produce blades for its 1.5 MW wind tribune.

This tribune is on of the most used tribunes in the world on the market today. The factory itself will be owned by Aberdeen Development Corporation (ADC)and operated by Molded Fiber Glass Companies (MFG). This will represent a 40 million USD investment. It is expected to be up and running this year. According to Victor Abate vice President-Renewables for GE Energy; "GE currently has over 6,500 1.5-megawatt wind turbines in operation worldwide. By the end of 2008, we expect that number to exceed 10,000 units," " The new MFG facility in Aberdeen will significantly increase the manufacturing capacity of our supply chain, as we continue to face strong demand for wind turbines in the U.S. and worldwide."

At the end of 2007 GE Energy announced agreements worth 1.5 billion USD for wind tribune projects in the United States and Europe bringing in total more then 1 GW of clean power in the wind segment. The company has increased its production five fold since 2004 and will see revenues exceed 4 billion USD.
