Iberdrola Renewables sells output from 99 MW wind farm in US

 

The deal via PPM Energy will see the Public Energy Agency of Southern California buy the power.

The deal is long term for 18 years for the power produced from the Pebble Spring wind farm. The facility is located in Oregon State and will consist of 47 Suzlon 2.1 MW power wind generators. The customer for the electricity will be the Department of Water and Energy of Los Angeles with 68.7 MW and the cities of Burbank and Glendale with 10 and 20 MW respectively. These are all members of the Public Energy Agency of Southern California.

Iberdrola Renewables is already the second largest company when it comes to the installed wind capacity in the United States. Currently the company has 2,145 MW installed on the American market.
