REpower and Enertad sign contract for 160 MW of wind power projects in Italy and France

 

REpower Systems AG and Enertad have signed the framework agreement for the supply of wind turbines for 80 units of 2 MW turbines.

The subsidiary of the Italian energy and petroleum company ERG , Enertad will look forward to using the turbines in various projects in Italy, and has also included an option for a further 30 turbines in the agreement. 12 of the 30 optional turbines may be used in France , where the company already has 55 MW of installed capacity. The agreement is valid until the End of July 2009 , with the turbines being delivered by 2010.

Enertad’s Managing Director, Raffaele Tognacca, commented: “REpower is an important partner and we consider this agreement to be strategic in that it gives an even more tangible form to the realisation of our development plans in the wind business in Italy and abroad.”

Carlo Schiapparelli, REpower’s Country Manager in Italy, stated: “We are particularly pleased to have reached this new agreement, which confirms the Parties’ intention to give future continuity to the successful cooperation currently in place.”
