REpower lands 200 MW order for wind farms in USA

 

100 wind turbines of the make MM92 will be delivered to enXco , a subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles.

The agreement was signed at the US trade fair Windpower08 in Houston yesterday. The locations for the wind turbines will be at two projects in the northwest of the United States. Deliveries of the turbines is slated to start in the second quarter of 2009 and be done by 2009. The projects are part of a general delivery agreement between the two companies for 690 MW worth of wind turbines and will see the turbines installed both in Europe and the United States. The rotor blades themselves will come from North America.

Per Hornung Pedersen, CEO of REpower Systems AG: “I am particularly pleased to announce these two projects during the Windpower08. The trade fair turns out to be very beneficial for REpower and the new orders once more emphasise that the US market becomes more and more important to us.”
