It has also chosen Denmark as a hub saying on its website “ Suzlon has chosen Denmark as its headquarter for further international expansion. The choice of Denmark as the hub for the international expansion is based on several considerations. The Danes have many years of experience of wind turbine technology, both on the manufacturing side, supplier side and with the extensive research carried out at universities, and thereby Denmark has gained a leading position within wind turbine know-how.”
After the acquisition of Hanson and Germany's Repower, Suzlon has moved to consolidate management in Amsterdam, the company also sees the future of the wind industry in Europe. Currently the company is generating 46 percent of revenue from the Indian market, in the short term this should drop by about 25 percent. Suzlon hopes to generate well over 40 percent of its revenues from the European market and has also announced plans to list on international stock exchanges.
