Vestas receives order for 33 units from Canada

SUEZ Renewable Energy NA which is the renewable energy division of SUEZ Energy North America has 25 wind power projects in various stages of development across the east of Canada. The projects add up to a total of 2 GW of wind power. This comes after the company acquired Ventus a Canadian wind park operator.

This order supports Vestas’ strategy of playing a leading role in the development of Canada’s vast wind resources,” said Jens Søby, President of Vestas Americas A/S.

“The order comprises supply and commissioning of the wind turbines and a three-year service and maintenance agreement. Vestas will start delivery of the 33 turbines mid 2009 and expects to complete commissioning in the second half of 2009. “
