Hannah has long been considered a champion of the benefits of bio-diesel in the US, along with the likes of Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, and Neil Young.
In fact, Hannah, along with Nelson's wife Annie, is a cofounder of the Sustainable Bio-diesel Alliance (SBA), a non-profit organization launched to promote bio-diesel that is sourced and produced by local communities.
Over the years, a number of celebrities have signed on to the bio-diesel cause, particularly musicians, who spend countless hours riding on buses while on tour.
Among those who have insisted on using bio-diesel fuelled tour buses over the years are Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nora Jones and Sheryl Crow.
Next up for Hannah is a speaking engagement at the 2011 Magill Business Symposium, an annual open forum at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California to discuss how businesses can create a more sustainable world. That event is 11 March.
