“With Rochester, New York, Watertown, South Dakota, and the headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, we score points with our American customers with short distances and comprehensive support during the sales, construction phase, service, and operations,” says Lars von Lehmden, Managing Director of EnviTec Anlagenbau GmbH & Co. KG, based in Lohne and Saerbeck, Germany.
“We are currently pursuing projects in California, Idaho, Nebraska, Colorado, Texas, and Wisconsin. We’re also interested in the Southwest,” he explains.
There are currently 11 plants under construction, two flowing biomethane to the grid and two which will be brought online in the next month, with more to follow this year.
“Another three to five projects are currently in the pipeline,” adds Timothy Logan, President of EnviTec Biogas Construction LLC. This will also require further expansion of the team.
For the construction projects, the company attaches great importance to working with local service providers.
“We have long-term partnerships with local companies and technical colleges, having already seen positive returns from these investments, particularly in terms of human capital and cost control. We value the local communities in which we work, and creating added value for surrounding agricultural and industrial customers is a real win-win situation,” said Stefan Dehne, General Manager of EnviTec Biogas Construction LLC.
With its entry into the US market, EnviTec Biogas has successfully completed eight biogas plant projects with two connected to the gas grid. Four additional plants, which EnviTec Biogas is implementing for its customer SJI Renewable Energy Ventures LLC (SJI) together with its development partner REV LNG LLC (REV), will be connected to the grid in the near future.
