Once built, the €315 million plant will produce 215 MW of electricity -- all of it wood chips and agro-residues.
Through the technology of “Circulated Fluidized Bed” the biomass is transformed into high pressure steam, which subsequently passes through a steam turbine to produce electricity.
Abengoa will be responsible for the engineering, design and construction of the plant.
Abengoa has biomass plants in Europe, Latin America and the United States.
