The firm, which is historically a refiner, has taken on a 50 percent stake in the venture, which also includes and Tosa Electric Railway Co. and Kochi Prefecture Federation of Forest Owners’ Cooperative Associations as partners.
In a written statement the collaborators said they will build a 5 MW biomass power station in Kochi prefecture in southwestern Japan, with the intention of it being operational by April 2015.
