The deal was arranged by a private-public joint environment/business delegation led by South Korean Vice Minister of Environment Moon Jung-ho visited Indonesia to advance cooperation between the two countries.
As part of the agreement, South Korea's Eco-Frontier Co., an alternative energy development firm, signed a contract with Indonesia's state-run plantation company, PT Perkebunan Nusantara, to work together on the projects, according to the ministry.
In addition, the two governments signed an memorandum of understanding on jointly establishing and managing the Korea – Indonesia Environmental Cooperation Center for enhancing cooperation in an ‘ecology restoration project for rivers in Jakarta’ and supporting Korea’s environmental companies in advancing into Indonesia.
