Being a limited edition, only 58 electric Cobra cars will be made, marking the number of years since the first Cobra was produced. The electric Cobra will look identical to the original 1962 model, but with an electric powertrain it will sound totally different. Although based on the original Cobra, the electric version will have a ladder frame that has been adapted for its electric drive components, including batteries. There will also be a number of upgrades, including steering, brakes and so on – all designed to provide ultimate 2020 standards of ride and handling while not compromising the style and appeal of the 1962-style bodywork.
Deliveries will start in the last quarter of 2020 and the Suggested Retail selling price will be £138,000 plus on the road charges.
The car will only be available in four colours - AC electric blue, AC electric black, AC electric white and AC electric green.
