Green Smart Charge offers customers the installation of charging points controlled by a self-developed management platform. The platform uses predictive models of energy consumption based on massive data processing. In this way, it optimizes recharging by choosing the best sequence based on four variables: time available and percentage required for recharging; consumption peaks of the installation that feeds the charging point; price of electricity at all times; and availability of self-consumption, thus prioritizing 100% clean renewable electricity.
The company has already started the pilot project for this technology in three market segments: shopping and leisure centers; business and industrial complexes; and vehicle fleets. The experience will allow Acciona Energía to model service patterns in different configurations according to the use of corporate and institutional clients for its own fleet or for the general public.
Belén Linares, Director of Innovation at Acciona, said, “We have detected that our clients are looking for complementary formulas for decarbonisation and efficiency. Well, at Acciona Energía we offer you a 100% clean electricity supply and a professionalized self-consumption model. The 'emission and cost efficient electric recharge service' is an added value for corporate customers in their transport logistics and in their commitment to sustainability. "
The Moraleja Green shopping center, managed by Knight Frank, is one of the users participating in the experimental project of the system. Located in the north of Madrid, Moraleja Green offers the electric vehicle recharging service to its customers. "The value that the Green Smart Charge recharging service has for us is that it guarantees us a better equation between costs and efficiency without compromising the quality of the user service", explains José López-Guerra, manager of Moraleja Green.
The pilot implementation of Green Smart Charge will also take place "in house", at Acciona Energía's facilities in Madrid and in its own vehicle fleet.
