The 70′ x 26′ USCG Subchapter T, hybrid-electric passenger vessel was designed by Glosten in Seattle, and will serve as a water taxi, transporting 150 passengers between Bremerton, Port Orchard, and Annapolis Washington.
The vessel features an aluminum hull, ADA access throughout and BAE’s HybriDrive system. The Waterman is the second Hybrid Electric vessel built by All American Marine. The first, the Enhydra, was WorkBoat’s 2018 Boat of the year.
WorkBoat Magazine quotes Matt Mullett, All American’s president & CEO, saying, ““We are proud to build advanced hybrid-electric vessels such as the Waterman and working with visionary partners, such as Kitsap Transit, Glosten and BAE Systems to develop and construct the boat of the future. All American is at the forefront of the decarbonization movement in the maritime industry, and the lithium-ion hybrid electric propulsion system on the Waterman is another example of our progress.”
