Now, it is enlisting the help of another British entity, Ploughcroft, to install the technology.
“Large organizations have been making the same mistakes for decades and we are using this opportunity to do something different," said Zero Carbon World's Charles Roberts. "We want to change the way we do business.”
"Since starting the charging station project in the summer or 2011, the company has given away over 170 charging stations, and with the help of Ploughcroft, they’re set to double their weekly output with the charity now being able to give away at least 20-40 units per week," Roberts said.
Zero Carbon World continues to invite businesses to apply online to receive two free charging stations on a first come, first serve basis.
The organization says charging stations can also be purchased for sites that won't qualify for a donation or for those who need additional units.
Revenue generated from these sales feeds back 100 percent into funding Zero Carbon World's projects.
