In a written statement, the company said it plans to have its first vehicles on the road by 2018.
"Our aim is to complete a program that would normally take four years and do it in half the time," said Dag Reckhorn, the company's global manufacturing vice president.
Faraday Future is backed by Jia Yueting, a Chinese entrepreneur. It introduced its concept car earlier this year.
The state of Nevada has pledged to provide up to $335 million in incentives to support the project, which is expected to employ between 4,000 and 5,000 people within a decade.
Faraday Future said it would to post a $75 million bond toward the development of roads, rail and water lines to serve the 900-acre site about 25 miles north of the Las Vegas strip.
