The e-NV200, a commercial van, will hit dealer showrooms in Europe in weeks and is expected to be rolled out in Nissan's home country of Japan in October.
Nissan previously announced plans to sell four zero-emission electric vehicles by March 2017.
The company says the e-NV200 Concept combines the advanced powertrain of the 100 percent electric Nissan LEAF with the roominess and practicality of the NV200™ Compact Cargo van.
Its zero emission power is supplied is by a lithium-ion battery—composed of 48 compact modules—and an advanced 80kW AC synchronous electric motor that is designed to run for about 190 kilometres on a single battery charge. Its list price is €20,610 (about $28,100), but the actual price will vary depending on available subsidies.
The van is being built at Nissan's plant in Barcelona, Spain, with an annual manufacturing capacity of at about 20,000 vehicles.
