Renewable Energy Magazine is proud to have been selected by CCM News, a provider of premium editorial videos for websites, newspapers, magazines, web portals and international broadcast, to host the weekly videos of the Fuel Cell World Drive
Beginning at the end of January, Mercedes and CCM News producers set out to drive three B-Class F-Cell models around the world. The Mercedes-Benz Fuel Cell Drive is an unparalleled long-distance journey that will take the fuel cell vehicles through 14 countries on their 125-day world trip. Starting in southern Europe, the cars have driven through France, Spain and Portugal. They'll then continue on to North America, where they will drive through both the USA as well as Canada. After crossing Australia the vehicles will travel on to Asia. From China, they will pass through Kazakhstan, Russia and finally northern Europe. The round-the-world tour will return to Stuttgart in early June.

We join the tour on its third leg from Paris (France) to Barcelona (Spain) where we discover some of the many ways Spain is keeping its cities green. The highlight of this week’s eposide is a piece on how Spain is paving the way towards solar sustainability and its solar power development has been heralded. The Barcelona Forum’s photovoltaic pergola is one of the most popular symbols of Barcelona’s new urban architecture, but more than that, it is an emblem of the city’s commitment to renewable energies and sustainability. We’ll also see an interview with eco-architect, Enric Ruiz Geli, about how he incorporates green engineering into his modern buildings such as the Media-TIC building, also in Barcelona, an information and communication technology hub designed to incubate, generate, exhibit and invite new ideas and developments.
The videos are available in the vER section on the right-hand side of our home page or here.Tomorrow , we'll catch up with the tour in its final location in Europe, Portugal.
