Schneider Electric introduced its EV charging points at the Montmelo Grand Prix circuit near Barcelona as part of the Formula-e event held on 13, 14 and 15 November. The main goal of the event was "to promote the new reality of electric vehicles". Schneider Electric, which describes Formula-e as "the first national event presenting the range of solutions for charging electric vehicles”, installed two points at the circuit, which were used to charge different vehicles. It also had a stand presenting the different solutions it offers for home and on-street charging.
The multinational boasts a wide range of charging solutions “that respond to the specific needs of each type of application: fast charging stations; parking lot chargers for retail centres; chargers for fleets of vehicles, residential garages and public places; and roadside parking charging stations".
According to Schneider Electric, all these solutions are designed "to meet the technical needs of electric vehicles in a safe, affordable and simple manner". The company also emphasises that "only trained and certified professional electricians should install these solutions".
