Swobbee And Evedima Build Up Charging Infrastructure For Micromobility In Greece

The Berlin-based climate-tech startup Swobbee and the Greek fleet service provider Evedima will henceforth work together to charge and operate micromobility fleets more sustainably in various cities in Greece. The first Swobbee station has already been installed, with more to follow in the coming weeks.

Evedima specializes in providing urban mobility and transportation services and infrastructure. In Greece, the company is responsible for operating the e-scooter fleets of Finnish sharing company Hopp, among others. Swobbee has developed the world's first charging and swapping station that, thanks to its manufacturer independence, is basically open to all battery types of vehicles from the growing field of micromobility.

As part of the first joint project between Evedima and Swobbee, a battery swapping station was set up in Vouliagmeni near Athens, where the swappable batteries of Hopp's electric scooters can be charged and swapped quickly and easily. This saves the company from having to deal with costly charging logistics with warehouses on the outskirts of the city, which improves the cost efficiency and environmental footprint of the sharing fleet.

" We are very excited to work with such a strong partner as Evedima to strengthen sustainable mobility in Greek cities. This is the first project for Swobbee in Southeast Europe and we hope to expand our presence in the region in the future," says Thomas  Duscha , CEO and co-founder of Swobbee.

Stamatis Sidiropoulos, Fleet Manager of Evedima, adds,
" We are very happy about the new partnership with Swobbee. The easy-to-use swapping stations make our team's job easier and help us manage our customers' fleets in a smart and sustainable way. Thanks to Swobbee's intelligent analysis tools, we now also always have optimal insight into the condition of the battery pool."

More Swobbee stations are to be installed in the coming weeks, including in the Greek capital Athens.
