With only two months to go before the event, Conference organiser, O.Ö. Energiesparverband (the energy agency of Upper Austria) is now calling for sector players to register as soon as possible to guarantee their place, after the conference attracted more than 10,000 participants from 98 countries last year.
The main conference events will present the latest technology trends, outstanding examples and European strategies in renewables and energy efficiency, as well as the "Energiesparmesse": an important energy exhibition offering ideal opportunities to establish new partnerships.
Three in one
World Sustainable Energy Days will include the European Pellet Conference and International Pellet Business Forum (2-3 March 2011). Described by its organisers as “the largest annual pellet event in the world”, this event will focus on topics such as quality assurance across the value chain, how to develop a pellet market, and fuel and technology innovation. A workshop entitled "Current developments on European and international pellet markets" will also complete this conference, which attracts more than 600 participants every year.
The pellet conference will be accompanied by Energy Efficiency Watch: Building Renovation (3-4 March 2011), a conference aimed at presenting how public policies will contribute to triggering a renovation boom, financing models and technology solutions. It will showcase innovative examples of energy-efficient, economic and sustainable renovations of domestic, public and commercial buildings and for social housing, and outline approaches towards zero energy renovations.
World Sustainable Energy Days will be rounded off with the event’s first Solar Process Heat international conference (3-4 March 2011). Held within the framework of the Intelligent Energy Europe project, ”Solar Process Heat“, this conference will present technology solutions, market reports and best practice examples, and will discuss strategies for increasing the market for solar process heat globally. After the conference, two site visits have been arranged: "Pellets & wood chips" on 1 March and "Building Renovation" and "Solar Heat" on 4 March.
The "Energiesparmesse" exhibition on energy efficiency and renewable energy sources will run parallel to the three conferences from 2 to 6 March 2011 and is expected to attract more than 1,600 exhibitors and over 100,000 visitors.
