The objective with the new partnership is to ensure that YIT’s customers – property and facility owners – have the best tools available to improve the energy efficiency and reliability of their facilities. ClimaCheck supplies fixed and portable equipment for measurement and performance analysis with the included services for surveillance and monitoring of energy statistics over Internet.
The cooperation between ClimaCheck and YIT starts in January with activities to educate YIT's employees involved in refrigeration and heat pump technology on how best to use the new technology in their daily work. The two sides complement each other well, with ClimaCheck’s proven solutions for improving energy efficiency in cooling air-conditioners and heat pumps, and YIT as one of the leading providers of real estate technology services.
“We have been testing and evaluating ClimaCheck systems for a while and an enhanced cooperation with ClimaCheck is entirelyconsistent with YIT's investment in refrigeration and heat pump technology”, said Hans Nilsson Brodin, Business Development Manager at YIT Sweden. “The information we get when we use ClimaCheck gives us an opportunity to develop our services and service concept ServiFlex even further. Energy efficiency is a highly interesting topic and by working with ClimaCheck we will increase the quality even further and reach better and faster results.”
ClimaCheck is used for documentation of performance in services, energy optimization and troubleshooting. The solution analyses the directly collected data and document performance, which quickly gives acomplete picture of how the system works and what adjustments that can be done to increase energy efficiency even more. Users may often take actions that can reduce energy consumption by 10-40 per cent, which is favourable for both their wallet and the environment.
“As one of our partners, YIT can use our solution to develop its services in refrigeration and heat pump technology even further”, said Fredrik Hamrin, Nordic Sales and Marketing Manager at ClimaCheck. “We will start training YIT's staff immediately so they can quickly get started to analyse and measure their customers’ facilities.”
In October, ClimaCheck was named as one of four Climate Solvers 2011 by WWF, the world’s leading environmental organisation. The Climate Solver award is handed out to companies considered to have technology with the greatest potential to dramatically reduce carbon-dioxide emissions around the globe.
Air conditioning and refrigeration systems consume 15-20% of the world’s electricity, contributing massively to global carbon dioxide emissions that cause global warming. These systems often consume 10-40% more energy than intended due to shortcomings in installation, use and maintenance. ClimaCheck’s solutions optimise the functionality of these systems.
