dsb was founded in 2024 by three former employees of German unicorn Enpal to assist homeowners in the renovation of their property. The company has developed an end-to-end digital platform that can be used to plan extensive renovation measures, from insulation to solar panel installation. The new funds will be used to further expand the platform, automate services, and accelerate growth.
The company aims to become a nationwide central partner, connecting single-family homeowners with local craftsmen.
“16 million buildings in Germany need to be renovated by 2033 to meet EU energy efficiency standards” said Sebastian Schmidt, Founder and CEO of dsb. “The main hurdle is often a lack of trust in various service providers - and that’s exactly where we come in. As a neutral partner and service provider we work together with local installers and firms to simplify renovation for millions of homeowners, helping them reduce electricity and heating costs.”
