A total of 8,522 visitors took part in this year's GeoTHERM (previous year 6,509). This dynamic growth underlines the central role of GeoTHERM in the global geothermal sector.
"GeoTHERM 2025 experienced an unprecedented level of internationality,“ says exhibition director Frank Thieme. "This year, we welcomed 280 exhibitors from 23 nations - including Australia, China, Japan, Canada, the United Arab Emirates and the USA. This impressive diversity shows that geothermal energy has long been a global topic and that GeoTHERM offers a crucial platform for international dialogue.“
The companies' presentations are also becoming increasingly impressive.
"Our exhibitors are increasingly bringing large-format exhibits with them,“ explains project manager Gabriele Weislogel. "From drilling rigs for near-surface geothermal energy to state-of-the-art measuring trucks for seismic measurements and innovative storage systems - GeoTHERM 2025 was a real experience for the trade visitors.“
A particular highlight was the newly created Start-Up Area, which served as the trade fair's innovation hub. Young, dynamic companies with pioneering technologies and solutions presented themselves here. The Start-Up Area quickly developed into a hotspot for networking and investment. In the direct neighborhood of established market leaders, up-and-coming companies were able to make valuable contacts with investors, business partners and mentors.
"With over 60 top-class presentations, the scientific congress at GeoTHERM 2025 offered a concentrated load of expertise,“ emphasises Tanja Hartmann, Head of Trade Fairs. "The combination of near-surface and deep geothermal energy in particular made the program unique and impressively demonstrated the wide-ranging potential of this technology.“
The next GeoTHERM expo & congress will take place in Offenburg on February 2-27, 2026. Information on GeoTHERM is available at www.geotherm-offenburg.de.
