GeoTHERM As A Marketplace For Geothermal Energy

Current topics and issues relating to near-surface and deep geothermal energy will be discussed in around 50 specialist presentations. In addition, parallel side-events will offer trade visitors the opportunity to exchange information on current activities, findings and projects.

The SpeicherCity project cordially invites you to the workshop “Aquifer storage for Germany” on the day before GeoTHERM.

On the first day of GeoTHERM, you have the opportunity to take part in the Practical Geothermal Energy Forum of the German Heat Pump Association or the BDG workshop on career entry for students in the geosciences.

On Friday, students in the Career Connect program will have the opportunity to meet potential employers on guided tours, make contacts and attend exciting presentations on various areas of the geothermal industry as part of the congress.

Pre-registration is required for all side-events.

Citizens event on geothermal energy

At the GeoTHERM public event on February 21st at 11:30 a.m., interested citizens will have the opportunity to discuss the potential of geothermal energy in today's energy mix with LFZG researchers and other experts, and to obtain information on the diverse areas of application of geothermal energy or the technical implementation of shallow and deep geothermal energy. This will be followed by a (free) guided tour of the exhibition.

The venue for the public event is conference room 1 in the basement of the Oberrheinhalle, North Entrance. Participation in the event is free of charge. Only a registration at geotherm@messe-offenburg.de is required.

The State Research Centre for Geothermal Energy (LfZG) has been coordinating geothermal energy research in Baden-Württemberg since 2009. As an independent institution of the state, it brings together scientific stakeholders to promote research, teaching and technology development. In addition to promoting innovation, the LfZG attaches great importance to informing the public and providing scientifically sound advice to citizens, authorities, politicians and industry.
