The online platform enables householders to adjust room temperature, domestic hot water, fan settings and cooling systems. Customers can also input their own heating programmes and make adjustments for holidays while installers can analyse data and make adjustments on behalf of their customers.
“The introduction of our Internet Service Gateway gives end users and installers the ability to monitor their heat pumps and control their performance remotely via a desktop, tablet or smartphone” said Mark McManus, Stiebel Eltron UK Managing Director. “The technology also allows consumers to see how little their heat pump costs to run. The online platform can provide people with as much or as little information and data as they want. The platform will also help to ensure that any issues are picked up and dealt with speedily.”
The new online platform is the latest in a line of innovations introduced by the company following the launch last month of installer packs for air source heat pumps. In total, there are eight installer packs covering its WPL 15 AS and WPL 25 AS inverter air I water heat pumps which can be harnessed in new build and modernisation schemes.
Stiebel Eltron provides green technology to heat commercial and domestic properties, conserve energy and reduce bills including ground and air source heat pumps, solar thermal and solar PV.
