IBE CEO, Stephen Gauld, said he was thrilled to announce the partnership with Boya Energy, an Indigenous company specialising in industrial renewable energy, to help take the project forward. The partnership is expected to see Boya Energy take a 10 per cent equity stake in the project.
“Boya are an established business focused on providing a range of renewable energy solutions for business. We are thrilled to be partnering with Boya Energy, as we look to develop this project on the Traditional Country of the Noongar People,” said Mr Gauld.
“The partnership highlights IBE’s commitment not just to fight climate change, but also to see Indigenous people and business benefit from green energy production on Traditional Country.”
Boya Energy founder, Gerry Matera says participation in this project aligns strongly with the values and vision of Boya Energy.
“We are committed to fast tracking the energy transition, creating opportunities for Aboriginal people and businesses while preserving country. Production of green hydrogen is a key component of that story.”
