Cologne Bonn Airport Switches to Neste MY Renewable Diesel in its Diesel-Powered Ground Fleet Cologne Bonn Airport has switched to Neste MY Renewable Diesel™ in its diesel-powered ground fleet. Neste's renewable diesel (also known as HVO100) is made from 100 percent renewable raw materials, and it is in particular used for powering large and heavy vehicles such as the airport’s fire trucks. In total, switching to Neste MY Renewable Diesel will allow the airport to save almost 3,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions (CO2e) annually compared to the use of fossil diesel. | Biofuels Veeder-Root and Total Meter Services Launch the Biofuel Blending System Biogas Weltec Biopower Builds Three Biogas Plants in Greece Recently, three biogas plants were built in Greece, which Weltec Biopower designed together with its Greek cooperation partner Tetoros Machinery. Two of these are located in the Epirus region, in northwestern Greece: a 1-megawatt plant in the town of Arta and a 500-kilowatt plant in Ioannina. The third one, a 250-kilowatt biogas plant project, was realized in Serres, in central Macedonia. Here, an upgrade of the CHP plant to 750 kilowatts is also being implemented. The plant in Ioannina will go into production in the fall of 2023. | Biomass Mote Reveals Plans for Biomass-to-Hydrogen Plant in California As more utilities, industries, and transportation providers look to clean hydrogen to reduce carbon emissions, Mote Inc. has received $1.2 million in grant funding from the US Forest Service, the California Department of Conservation, and the California Department of Forestry (CAL FIRE) to establish its second biomass to hydrogen and carbon sequestration plant in partnership with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District. | From Biomass to Market: Unveiling the Dynamics of the Global Biochemicals Industry Hydrogen First Hydrogen to Power Parcel Delivery First Hydrogen, will be opening up fleet trials for its hydrogen-fuel-cell-powered vehicle (FCEV) in response to growing interest from parcel delivery companies.
