Honeywell And Granbio To Produce Carbon Neutral Sustainable Aviation Fuel

Honeywell and GranBio Technologies announced that they will combine Honeywell's ethanol to jet (ETJ) technology with GranBio's cellulosic ethanol AVAP® technology to produce carbon neutral sustainable aviation fuel from biomass residues at GranBio's forthcoming U.S. demonstration plant.

FedEx begins trial of renewable diesel to reduce well-to-wheel carbon-emissions in UK linehaul truck network

In November last year, FedEx Express Europe launched the use of renewable diesel to fuel heavyweight, long-distance vehicles in the Netherlands, as a more environmentally favourable alternative to fossil fuels. With the deployment of this new 100 percent HVO fuel, the UK becomes the next part of the FedEx network in the region to start trialling the use of renewable fuel.

Valmet to Supply Biomass Power Plant to Göteborg Energi in Sweden

Valmet will supply a biomass plant to Göteborg Energi AB in Gothenburg, Sweden. Göteborg Energi is building a new plant to produce electricity and district heat from renewable and recovered sources by 2025. The order will be included in Valmet’s orders received of the fourth quarter 2023. The value of the order will not be disclosed.

Vortex Energy has entered into a collaborative research sponsorship agreement with the University of Alberta to advance the Robinsons River Salt Project in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. As part of the collaboration, Vortex has agreed to make cash payments and substantial in-kind contributions over a 2-year period and to provide the U of A with core samples from the Robinsons River Salt Project.
