MOL Group has handed over a 10MW capacity green hydrogen plant in Százhalombatta which is the largest in Central and Eastern Europe. The €22 million investment makes fuel production more sustainable: the plant will reduce the Danube Refinery's carbon dioxide emissions by 25,000 tons.

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Bioenergy Technologies Office and Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management  announced the MACRO: Mixed Algae Conversion Research Opportunity funding opportunity announcement. The FOA will award up to $18.8 million to address research and development challenges in converting algae, such as seaweeds and other wet waste feedstocks, to biofuels and bioproducts.
