Supergrid could lead to 25% cut in offshore wind costs and create thousands of jobs

A new report by the UK government’s Commons Energy and Climate Change Select Committee has highlighted the benefits of developing a new supergrid connecting European countries’ offshore wind capacity. The report finds that such a grid would drive down capital costs and create thousands of new jobs in the industry.
