NewEnergyBlue Acquires Ørsted’s Low-Carbon Fuel Technology

Boston, Massachusetts-based, NewEnergyBlue, has acquired exclusive rights to Inbicon bio-conversion technology throughout the Americas and as its first project will turn North Dakota wheat straw into carbon-neutral automotive fuel. The technology license was purchased from Danish company, Ørsted. Ørsted developed the technology over 15 years at a cost exceeding $200 million, proving efficacy and commercial operation at its refinery in Kalundborg for close to five of those years.

Biogas plant manufacturer and operator Biogest has won its first order to build an agricultural and food waste biogas plant in South Korea, to be developed in cooperation with HC Energy and supported by the City Government and Agricultural Technology Center in Changwon.

US firm Bioenergy DevCo, based in Maryland, has acquired BTS Biogas, which will operate as an affiliate and enable new operation and expansion of anaerobic digestion in North America. Headquartered in Bruneck, Italy, BTS Biogas is a European pioneer in the field of anaerobic digestion with a 20-year history in the industry and 200 plants located around the world.
