Urban Farming Campus on Chicago's South Side to Feature Biogas Production

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D) recently joined Green Era and members of the Auburn Gresham community to announce a $3 million state investment that will help bring a new urban farming campus to Chicago's south side. The $32 million project will transform a vacant brownfield parcel into a new Green Era Urban Farming Campus that will provide access to fresh food, renewable energy and resilient growth for a community that has historically suffered from disinvestment and a lack of employment opportunities.

Air bp and Neste to Offer More Sustainable Aviation Fuel in Europe

Air bp, the international aviation fuel products and services supplier and Neste, the world’s largest producer of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuels, have signed an agreement to offer an increased volume of sustainable aviation fuel to airport customers in 2020 and 2021. 

Vekka Group’s Biogas-Powered Buses Introduced in Hämeenlinna, Finland

Six new biogas-powered buses of Vekka Group Oy will start service in Hämeenlinna at the end of this month. Supplied by Scania Finland, the buses will operate in the city’s public transport services 1, 3 and 11, the contract for which was awarded to the Vekka Group in competitive tendering last year.
