Neste and Avfuel Corporation Announce Strategic Partnership

Neste and Avfuel Corporation have formed a strategic partnership to create an efficient, continuous supply of sustainable aviation fuel  in the United States. Neste will provide Avfuel with SAF in volumes able to meet the growing demands of Avfuel's customers, including fixed base operators (FBOs), airports, flight departments, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and commercial operators. Avfuel will be a branded SAF distributor for Neste, and will sell it under the brand name Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel™.

Wärtsilä Supports Denmark’s Fossil-Free Plans With Two Biogas Upgrading Plants

The technology group Wärtsilä will supply two large-scale biogas upgrading plants to different locations in Denmark. The order was placed by Nature Energy, the world’s leading biomethane company.  The agreement with Wärtsilä dates back to early 2019, but the project was delayed because of permit applications. Production of the upgrading unit was initiated in the fourth quarter of 2020, when the orders were included in Wärtsilä’s order book.

Resalta Finalizes Sale of Biomass Plant to PEARL

Following the design, construction and successful operation of a 5 MWe biomass cogeneration plant in the Croatian municipality of Slatina, Resalta has sold the power plant to Luxembourg-based investment fund PEARL Infrastructure Capital. The transaction is one of the largest foreign investments in the biomass renewables segment in Croatia.

Protium Green Solutions, the UK‐based green hydrogen energy services company, has received more than £70,000 in funding to complete a feasibility study on incorporating innovative hydrogen combustion technology into Bruichladdich Distillery. Part of the BEIS Net Zero Innovation Portfolio (NZIP), the project is the next step in assessing the application of alternative fuels at island-based Bruichladdich.
