Avfuel and Embraer Collaborate to Bring Neste MY SAF to MLB Airport

Avfuel and Embraer have collaborated to bring Neste MY Sustainable Aviation FuelTM to Melbourne Orlando International Airport. The agreement comes as Embraer announces its commitment on climate action, such as achieving carbon neutral operations by 2040 and supporting the aviation industry's goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, both of which include integrating the use of SAF into its sustainability initiatives.

Repsol has successfully completed the manufacture of the first batch of biojet fuel produced from waste on the Spanish market at its Petronor Industrial Complex in Bilbao. This is a significant milestone in the production of fuels with a low carbon footprint. It represents a move forward in the decarbonization of fuels for air transport, a segment where electrification is not currently viable.

FortisBC Teams with Lethbridge Biogas to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions 

To help meet public demand for more renewable energy, FortisBC Energy Inc. is now receiving carbon-neutral Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) from Lethbridge Biogas LP. Following expansion of their facility to add a biogas upgrading system, Lethbridge Biogas signed an agreement to provide FortisBC with up to 350,000 gigajoules of RNG annually. This is FortisBC’s third source of RNG from outside of the province to date as the company continues to add new volumes of renewable gases and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Hydrogen Optimized Awarded $300,000 NGIF Grant 

Hydrogen Optimized will receive $300,000 in funding from NGIF Industry Grants, a division of NGIF Capital Corporation, to optimize the operation of its unique RuggedCell ™ water electrolyzers using an unstable electrical supply. The funding will be applied to a $900,000 project to demonstrate the company's large-scale Green Hydrogen production technology under solar panel, simulated wind turbine and intermittent electrical grid conditions.
