Neste Helps Bell 505 Become World’s 1st Single Engine Helicopter to Fly With 100% SAF

Bell Textron has completed its first flight fueled solely by 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) with its Bell 505 becoming the first-ever single engine helicopter to fly using 100% SAF. This milestone flight was achieved by a close cooperation between Bell, Safran Helicopter Engines, GKN Aerospace, Neste and Virent.

Weltec Biopower Extends Cooperation With Gordons Technical Service Ltd.

Weltec Biopower has extended the successful cooperation with its service partner, Gordons Technical Service Ltd from Northern Ireland, until the end of 2026. The German biogas plant manufacturer‘s cooperation with GTS has been in place since 2017 and applies to Weltec customers from Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland. Both companies have many years of experience in the region.

 Lhyfe has obtained the construction permit for its second green renewable hydrogen production site in the Morbihan region of Brittany, France, and is about to begin preparatory construction work. Lhyfe Bretagne, which should be operational by the second half of 2023, will supply hydrogen for transport in the region and the industrial processes of regional companies.

Leading UK biofuel supplier Green Biofuels Limited has launched Ireland's first renewable biofuel terminal in a built facility in Cork Harbour. The facility took its first cargo delivery on 11th January. Through its Irish business Green D Project Limited, the new terminal is a major commitment by GBF to Ireland's cleaner energy infrastructure for transport and generator power, further accelerating the transition to Net Zero.
