Record US Wind Farm Development Driven by Corporations, Utilities, and State Calls for Offshore Projects

US wind farm development activity rose to a new high point in the second quarter of 2019, according to new data released this week by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA). Strong consumer demand from Fortune 500 businesses and utilities as well as calls from multiple states for offshore projects added to wind power’s growing development pipeline. At the same time, wind turbine manufacturers saw an increasing number of factory orders for more powerful wind turbines capable of powering almost twice the number of homes as an average wind turbine installed in the past few years.

MG Motors UK celebrated its first appearance at CarFest North in Bolesworth, Cheshire, this weekend with the company’s brand new ZS electric vehicle which it presented as the UK’s first truly affordable family friendly electric car, ahead of its 1st September on-sale date. Visitors were also given the chance to place their orders for the vehicle, which will also be presented at CarFest South at Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire, from 23th – 25th August.

Danone to Invest Over $26 Million to Achieve 100 Percent Carbon Neutrality of NZ Plant

Leading global food company, Danone, will invest approximately $26.5 million in its Nutricia spray drying plant in a move designed to help the company achieve carbon neutrality by 2021. The company hopes to reach this primarily with the installation of a $19.9 million state-of-the-art biomass boiler that will reduce the plant’s CO2 emissions by an estimated 20,000 tonnes per year.
