Bill That Would Have Gutted Tax Credits for Renewables, EVs, Stalls in Senate A U.S. Senate bill that would have ended tax credits for renewable energy and electric vehicles is now in limbo after lawmakers on Capitol Hill came to a stalemate over amendments. The bill, S.2657, called the American Energy Innovation Act, is a package of 53 separate bills that, among other things, eliminate renewable energy tax incentives while replacing them with additional funding and tax credits for coal, nuclear power and natural gas. | Development of FuelCell Energy Project at Port of Long Beach Facility to Proceed FuelCell Energy’s first full-scale commercial SureSource hydrogen plant has received the go-ahead from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). The Commission recently clarified and reinforced that the use of directed biogas is permissible under the Bioenergy Market Adjusting Tariff (BioMAT) program, a feed-in tariff program which allows eligible plants to sell power to one of the state’s three investor-owned utilities at a fixed price, thus clearing the way for the continued development of the Toyota Port of Long Beach FuelCell Energy hydrogen project. | SEA Wave and WESE launch ocean energy data platform An online platform, MARENDATA, has been launched in collaboration by the SEA Wave and WESE projects to disseminate environmental monitoring data collected within the marine energy industry. Co-funded by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund, both SEA Wave and WESE are undertaking bespoke environmental research campaigns to better understand the potential environmental effects associated with deploying and operating some of the world’s leading marine energy technologies. | Biofuels A Novel Biofuel System for Hydrogen Production From Biomass Gevo Signs Agreement with Viva Energy to Develop Renewable Hydrocarbons in Australia Biogas EBRD Promotes Renewable Energy Solutions in Belarus Biomass Mackies Ice Cream invest in £4 million low carbon refrigeration system Electric/Hybrid BVRLA welcomes budget boost for zero emission fleets and drivers Era Of Wireless Charging For Electric Vehicles Is Coming Volvo Cars launch new battery assembly line at Ghent manufacturing plant Geothermal Data Gumbo Provides First Use of Blockchain in Geothermal Energy Drilling Jenna Tsui How to Determine If Wind Energy Is Practical for Your Property Panorama Opus Energy offers new 100 percent renewable electricity tariff for businesses Net Zero for the UK by 2050 is possible with targeted innovation and scale up says Energy Systems Catapult Pakistan Falling Short of Meeting the Targets Set in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for 2030 The Prince of Wales's Corporate Leaders Group calls on UK Government for clear leadership to accelerate climate action PV Jordan Alectris and Mase complete technical services partnership for MENA Solar NREL research boosts longevity and efficiency of a perovskite solar cell EDF Solar Among Fastest Growing Companies Thailand Total to develop 25 MW of solar rooftops in Thailand Small Hydro Hydro Refit Kickstarts Thordon’s New Turn-Key Service Storage NYSERDA supports zinc-air battery energy storage system in Brooklyn Blackstone Acquires Energy Storage Pioneer, NRStor C&I Wind US offshore wind poised for exponential growth Research shows subsea power cables becoming critical link in US offshore wind supply chain TenneT Partners with EIB to Power New Transmission Connection for Offshore Wind Energy Turkey GE Renewable Energy to supply Cypress units for Turkish wind farm Agenda 2nd ASEAN Wind Energy 2020 ICSD 2020 : 8th International Conference on Sustainable Development |
