Electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Nio has officially launched Battery as a Service (BaaS) for customers in China, enabling BaaS users to purchase a car without the battery, thus making EVs more price competitive against existing powertrains and providing the flexibility to change battery capacity according to needs.

Duke Energy Florida Plans Three New Battery Storage Sites

Duke Energy Florida plans to add three battery energy storage sites and nearly 30 MW to enhance power quality, reliability and critical services during outages. The battery storage sites will be located at Duke Energy’s Lake Placid Solar Power Plant in Highlands County, John Hopkins Middle School in Pinellas County, and southwest of Gainesville in Alachua County.
