Ørsted and Eversource Partner with Mystic Aquarium on Study of Offshore Wind and Marine Life

Ørsted and Eversource, developers of Connecticut’s first offshore wind farm, Revolution Wind, announced a multi-year research partnership with Mystic Aquarium to conduct one of the nation’s first comprehensive studies of the effects of offshore wind turbines on marine mammals and sea turtles. The research partnership is part of a $1.25 million grant Ørsted and Eversource awarded to Mystic Aquarium announced last year.

Nature Energy Biogas A/S, a leader in biomethane and renewable energy production from organic waste, has entered into a definitive agreement under which Shell Petroleum NV, a wholly owned subsidiary of Shell will acquire 100% of the company for a total enterprise value of nearly $2 billion (€1.9 billion). Nature Energy owns and operates 14 industrial scale biomethane plants and an international development pipeline of about 30 plants across Europe and North America.

EST-Floattech recently signed a long-term framework contract with Rolls-Royce Power Systems for the ‘Green Orca 1050’ battery module on board of 10 newbuild vessels. The first order of the new partnership is for 33 lithium polymer battery modules of the ‘Green Orca 1050’ series as part of nine hybrid fast ferries of Italian operator Liberty Lines equipped with mtu hybrid propulsion packs supplied by Rolls-Royce Power Systems.
