EDF Renewables has sold a 49 percent share of 24 of its UK wind farms to Dalmore Capital Limited and Pensions Infrastructure Platform. The cash proceeds to EDF at closing are £701 million.

South East Europe could unlock massive wind energy potential

According to WindEurope, 500 GW of wind energy is available in South East Europe and is currently not being realised. WindEurope CEO Giles Dickson, speaking at a Central and South Eastern Europe Connectivity (CESEC) ministerial meeting in Sofia last week, gave a series of recommendations to Energy Ministers in South East Europe in order to help the region unlock an enormous amount of wind energy potential that is currently not being exploited.
